Silver Lake Preserve
Description
This annual report shows the acquisition of lands necessary for planned Westchester County park and parkway projects. By 1928 in order to establish the Silver Lake Preserve, the commission purchased 427 acres of land "from property owners, both whites and blacks, in this corner of the county where White Plains, Harrison, and North Castle come together, including The Hills land."
